    Hey,

    The theme update is built using an API that envato has disabled. In future versions of theme, we will replace this with Envato Market plugin that takes care of the same updating issue. You can already start to use it now. See this: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

    If you face “Invalid URL…” error using Envato Market plugin, try to visit “Settings” tab and press “Test API Connection” button, after that you should be able to update.

    in reply to: Magellan Memory error – Line 301 #10133

    Hey,

    I checked file “planetshine-magellan/theme/theme.php” on line 301 – from here widget “Magellan Category Scroller” is included. Seems that the memory limit is reached when code execution gets to this line. Basically it tells nothing because if we will comment out this line, the execution most like will stop during another widget include which is located below line 301.

    Magellan theme doesn’t include any rules regarding to memory limits, therefore memory limit of 100MB should be added by some plugin.

    Try to remember last few plugins you installed on your site and force to disable them. This can be done very simply by opening “wp-content/plugins/” folder using FTP server or Hosting panel and renaming plugin folder to something different (for example add underscore at the beginning of folder name). After each rename try to access wp-admin page.

    in reply to: change the font size in the categories on the frontpage #10120

    Hey,

    You can paste this code to custom CSS box in theme’s settings:

    .title-default span {
        font-size: 16px
    }

    and increase the numeric value according to your needs.

    in reply to: automatic slider instead of manual #10119

    Hey,

    Yes, the slider already has this feature. If you will open your homepage in edit mode, you will see that the slider consists of Page Builder blocks called “Home slider item” and all these blocks are wrapped inside element called “Home slider”. If you will press the pencil icon on the home slider element, you will be able to specify the interval between slide switch.

    in reply to: automatic movement instead of the manual #10118

    Hey,

    Trending news slider can by animated automatically by small update in theme’s template file. How to update theme’s template files you can see in how-to topic here.
    In file templates/trending-news.php on line 43 change this code fragment:
    data-interval="false"
    to this one:
    data-interval="5000"

    Now the slider should be animated automatically with interval of 5 seconds.

    Unfortunately increasing the size of this element is not possible without custom coding, because this element is involved in header height calculations and it is considered as static height element.

    in reply to: Resize social media icons #10117

    Hey,

    This can be done by pasting this code to custom CSS box in theme’s settings:

    .widget-default .social {
        font-size: 30px;
    }

    change numeric value according to your needs.

    in reply to: trying to center the banner in the header #10116

    Hey,

    To place banner on right side go to theme’s settings panel under “General -> Header -> Header layout” choose “Logo on left, banner on right” setting.

    To vertically center banner, under “General -> Custom code -> Custom CSS” place this code:

    .header.header-items-2 {
        display: flex;
        flex-wrap: wrap;
        align-items: center;
    }

    .logo-1.header_item.left {
        flex-shrink: 0;
    }

    .banner.header_item.right {
        flex-grow: 1;
        display: flex !important;
        justify-content: flex-end;
    }

    At the moment Envato market plugin is not a part of the theme, so you should keep it up to date as all other plugins by updating from “Plugins” section.

    in reply to: Schemas and autor is broken #10102

    From our point of view the whole idea behind this author’s block was to share most of the information added in wp-admin’s Profile section. We were not focused on SEO here.

    Anyway, if the option is empty, it will be nice don’t echo URL because always output the link of same page (Link to same page with the anchor of name’s Author).

    Yes, you are correct, here we missed extra if statement.

    At personal preference, If we use Ultimate Member for grow community, I think the URL must be author archive or user (/user/namesauthor) for PR Flow in the same domain.

    If you are focused on SEO then yes, this is better approach.

    in reply to: Own scrollbar color #10101

    Usually wp-admin login details may help to debug different issues, but seems that this is not the case.

    in reply to: Schemas and autor is broken #10094

    Hey,

    Thanks for sharing.

    I will just clarify few things.

    if (!empty($description) && strlen($description) > 0) {
    this check is performed because without description, author information will look poor. Basically corresponding element’s design requires it. I must agree with you that this is not best solution at all.

    <h2><a href="<?php echo esc_url(get_the_author_meta('url')); ?>"><?php echo get_the_author(); ?></a></h2>
    here we want to share authors personal blog, not his posts archive.

    in reply to: How to add more views to post? #10093

    Hey,

    The view count feature is provided using “WordPress Popular Posts” plugin. It is not possible to update counts, as the records are kept in database which means you would have to update them directly in it.

    You may disable the plugin and this will remove views count in front-end in the same time.

    in reply to: Own scrollbar color #10092

    Hey,

    GoodGame theme has multiple complex background features, therefore such a plugin may not be compatible with it.

    However I am not able to tell you more until I see the issue in action. Can you share a link?

    It seems that there are some issues with your hosting server.
    I was able to log in only with third attempt, the browser just showed error before next page was loaded.

    I tried to press “Test API Connection” about three times as well. With the second update attempt it was successful so your theme is now up to date.

    It seems that these login details are not valid, wasn’t able to access your site’s wp-admin.

    Can you please provide valid wp-admin login details, so I can check this in action?

    Make sure you mark reply as private below.

    Hey,

    I checked your website’s client and admin side and wasn’t able to face the 503 error.

    First of all try to repeat the issue while running only plugins which are required and/or recommended by the theme.

    If some third party plugin (except supported ones) is causing some issues related to server’s allocated memory, then its’ not a part of theme support.

    I suggest to avoid use of two page builder plugins in the same time. As theme comes with Visual Composer, you should stick with it.

    You may try to do analysis on logs. Usually any hosting service provider has a administration panel, like cPanel or Plesk for example. If you have access to it, you should be able to see error logs (usually last 300). This may give direction where to look for an issue.

    Without the scenario of how to repeat the issue, this is everything I can do at the moment.

    in reply to: Mobile / responsive view is broken #10071

    Hey,

    Probably you have updated WordPress to the latest version, but the theme is outdated.
    Make sure your theme and all the plugins are updated. You can find update documentation here. If this doesn’t help, please share your wp-admin login details, so I can check this issue in action.

    If you share any sensitive data, don’t forget to mark reply as private below.

    in reply to: Internal linking and related content #10067

    Hey,

    Unfortunately theme doesn’t have both these features.

    There are a lot of plugins which may allow to achieve related posts functionality, but in most cases such plugins requires at least style adjustments in terms of custom CSS coding to fit in theme’s layout.

    Search in current category is not as common feature as related posts, therefore most likely this can be achieved only by custom coding.

    I suggest you to hire some freelance WordPress developer to do these tasks according to your needs.

    in reply to: Frontpage problem in mobile device again #10066

    Hey,

    I went through couple of your site’s pages using phone and PC and wasn’t able to detect the problem you described.

    Is this still relevant?

    Have you tried to clear your browser’s cache, and also site’s cache (as you are running Caching plugin)?

    Hey,

    You don’t need purchase license every year, it is needed only if you want to receive theme support.

    The theme update is built using an API that envato has disabled. In future versions of theme, we will replace this with Envato Market plugin that takes care of the same updating issue. You can already start to use it now. See this: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

    in reply to: Remove brand logo #10062

    Hey,

    Try to uncheck setting named “Show brands carousel” in your wp-admin under “Polaris -> General -> Footer”.

    in reply to: text change #10061

    Hey,

    This text is a part of WooCoommerce plugin, so the best way to translate or change it would be by using Loco Translate plugin according to documentation here.

    in reply to: Video File #10060

    Hey,

    Unfortunately theme doesn’t have any video documentation. The best way to get introduced with page creation process would be demo page import according to documentation here. If you are not familiar with WPbakery Page Builder, you may have a look at this beginners video tutorial.

    in reply to: Multi Level Menu #10059

    Hey,

    Theme allows to display up to three menu levels (root level and two dropdown levels) if the root item is not marked as megamenu according to documentation here. It is not possible to enable fourth level without significant updates in theme’s code.

    in reply to: Twitch Integration and Review Posts #10051

    Hey,

    1) Here is complete documentation related to Twitch.

    2) The name of the plugin “Visual Composer” was changed to “WPBakery Page Builder”, but the instructions remains the same. Take a look at this reply. If you doesn’t see Page Builder’s “Add element” panel, make sure you have enabled it for posts under “WPBakery Page Builder -> Role Manager -> Post Types -> Custom”.

    3) Theme demo import documentation can be found here, however it look like you already succeeded with this.

    in reply to: Image broken on product page #10047

    Hey,

    If you face any issues with latest plugins, always make sure that your theme version is up to date. You can check theme version log here.

    I am now closing this ticket.

    in reply to: Twitch Streams #10042

    Hey,

    Unfortunately theme doesn’t have these features.

    To hide twitch stream when streamer is offline custom coding would be required. If you doesn’t have necessary coding skills I suggest you to hire someone to do this for you. You can find an example of how to detect when streamer is online by examining code located in file “theme/theme.php”, function “load_twitch_stream_vc_block”.

    You can embed twitch chat using HTML iframe according to this topic.

    Try to paste this code to custom CSS box in Theme’s settings:

    #buddypress .activity #activity-stream a {
        word-break: break-all;
    }

    .activity-list li.bbp_topic_create .activity-content .activity-inner {
        padding-left: 10px !important;
    }

    @media only screen and (max-width: 991px) {
        #buddypress .activity ul.activity-list li .activity-content .activity-inner iframe {
            max-width: 100% !important;
        }
    }

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
        #buddypress div#item-header #item-header-cover-image #item-header-content #item-meta {
            padding: 0 20px 0 20px !important;
        }
    }

    #buddypress div.item-list-tabs#subnav {
        margin: 0 0 10px 0;
    }

    #buddypress div.item-list-tabs#subnav ul li {
        margin-top: 10px;
    }

    .bp-user #buddypress #item-header {
        margin-bottom: 40px !important;
    }

    #buddypress div.item-list-tabs ul li {
        margin-top: 10px !important;
    }

    This will break large links into multiple lines, handle video iframe maximum width and fix some spacing issues.

    in reply to: In Feed ads in Product Thumbnails #10038

    Hey,

    Unfortunately according to ThemeForest support policy here the assistance with theme customization is not a part of theme support.

    I strongly recommend to you avoid doing such a modifications with theme or WooCommerce plugin itself.
    The better option would be searching for some plugin which may help you to achieve this kind of functionality.

    in reply to: Can't Update My Theme #10037

    Hey,

    I visited “Settings” tab and pressed “Test API Connection” button, after that I tried to update and you are now up to date.

    Hey,

    The thing is that the demo doesn’t contain all the latest plugin updates, so it should not be as reference point.
    Can you provide a link to such a profile page, so I can take a look at it and provide fix?

    in reply to: Image size on the home #10035

    The parameters are already covered here. If you meant description for handles of thumbnails then it is not possible, because it will be time consuming to give such a description and this is considered as help with custom coding.

    The BuddyPress page layout is basically hard coded in theme. As theme support doesn’t include any custom coding responsibilities, one of the solutions to achieve this may be hiring some WordPress freelance developer.

    Hey,

    Unfortunately theme doesn’t have feature to change BuddyPress page layout.
    To achieve this custom PHP and CSS coding will be required.

    in reply to: Include images in product page as img tag instead of URL #10021

    Hey,

    Theme uses background image approach to provide the mouseover zoom effect, which seems disabled in a site you shared. To change background image to HTML img tag significant code adjustments will be required.

    Adding a link for download will be much easier, as it will result with less CSS coding. Probably you may try to look for some plugin which will do this for you.

    in reply to: Image size on the home #10020

    It looks like you changed the wrong image size definition, the one which stands for items in screenshot uses handle ‘goodgame_post_list_item_medium’.

    in reply to: Change "overall rating" text #10019

    Hey,

    There is no setting in a theme which allows to change this text, therefore the only way to do this is by following documentation here.

    in reply to: Stuck on user profile after registration #10018

    Hey,

    The reason for this can be almost anything. Usually such a problems are caused by plugin conflict.
    First of all make sure that you are not running plugins Ultimate Member, bbPress and BuddyPress all together, as they may conflict with each other, therefore choose one of them. You may also try disable each plugin one by one, to make sure that this is not plugin conflict.

    If this doesn’t help, try to repeat the issue using one of WordPress default themes. Let me know about the result.

    in reply to: Image size on the home #10010

    Hey,

    Unfortunately theme doesn’t have feature to change post thumbnail size and this can be achieved only by custom coding.

    Such a significant image size adjustment may also require some style adjustments for content on side of image.
    I can only help you by giving right direction.

    For desktop screens the box size is applied by this CSS code:

    .post-block.post-image-300 .image img {
        width: 270px;
        height: 270px;
    }

    You can modify it and paste to custom CSS box in theme’s settings.

    You should also handle responsive cases by using media queries, more information can be found at this reply.

    Probably image quality won’t be good enough, so it may be necessary to change resolution of images – follow this FAQ.

    in reply to: Menu Floats over everything else #10009

    Try to paste this to custom CSS box in theme’s settings:
    .um-notification-live-feed { z-index: 10000002 !important; }

    in reply to: Mobile Theme issues #10004

    Hey,

    Seems that the solution you used is not working properly because child theme may be used to overwrite templates, but not files such a “woocommerce.php”. In other words by copying and pasting files from parent to child theme you may overwrite files located in “templates” folder.

    Overwriting header_add_to_cart_fragment method using child theme is a bit tricky, but you may do this by pasting this code to child theme’s functions.php file:

    function plsh_child_header_add_to_cart_fragment( $fragments )
    {
    	ob_start();
    	?><i class="fa fa-shopping-cart"></i><?php echo WC()->cart->get_cart_contents_count(); ?><?php

    	$fragments['plsh-cart-contents'] = ob_get_clean();

    	return $fragments;
    }

    remove_filter( 'woocommerce_add_to_cart_fragments', array('PlanetshineWooCommerce', 'header_add_to_cart_fragment'));
    add_filter( 'woocommerce_add_to_cart_fragments', 'plsh_child_header_add_to_cart_fragment', 11);

    I already tested this so it should work.

    in reply to: Menu width and height change #10003

    Hey,

    Unfortunately it’s not possible. Total menu width is limited to container width which according to Bootstrap 3 is 1170px wide on large screens. The attempt to change menu height will require a lot of significant modifications related to CSS and JavaScript code. Also the menu is very sensitive to such a modifications because of its’ possibility become “sticky”.

    I suggest you to reorder your menu items by using dropdown menus. If it’s not an option for you, you may hire some experienced Front-end developer to do this for you.

    in reply to: Menu dropdown widget not showing #10002

    Hey,

    I just tested this using latest WordPress 5.0.3, all latest updates of plugins and was able to place the megamenu dropdown. Please make sure you are completing all the steps mentioned in documentation here.

    in reply to: Menu Floats over everything else #10001

    Hey,

    To avoid menu overflow over admin bar paste this code to custom CSS box in theme’s settings:
    #wpadminbar { z-index: 10000001 !important; }

    Unfortunately I wasn’t able to detect the issue related to Ultimate Member notifications. By the way the corresponding extension is not listed in ThemeForest as supported plugin. However I may help you to solve this if it’s not time consuming fix like with the admin bar. Is this still relevant? If yes, then please describe in more detail how to repeat this issue, attach links, screenshots etc.

    in reply to: Image shown when shared #10000

    Hey,

    This depends on social network you want to be able to share a post. For networks like Facebook and LinkedIn Open Graph tags are necessary and they are not shipped with a theme by default. There are a lot of plugins available which allows to achieve this easily, you can try Yoast SEO for example.

    Hey,

    Unfortunately GoodGame has only Homepage Slider element and it doesn’t have an option to query posts automatically. To achieve this kind of feature custom coding will be necessary.

    in reply to: Navigation Bar issues #9137

    Hey,

    Can you please provide your site’s URL and wp-admin login details so I am able to check this in action?

    Don’t forget to mark reply as private below if you share any sensitive data.

    UPDATE:
    Thanks to your email I was able to check this in action.
    The thing is that section titles are too long and they take a lot of space so the sidebar can not be displayed properly on laptop resolution monitors. You can limit sidebar width by pasting this code to custom CSS box in theme’s settings:
    .post-1-navbar ul.nav { max-width: 130px; }

    Sidebar’s active item is switch right after the title top border reaches menu, see screenshot.
